Spring-ish

ain't she purty??

View from the deck! so pretty

oh yeah, we're that cool.

just because you don't see enough of my face already.

Oh… hai blogger,
Long time no talk. Been a pretty uneventful week so far. I had a religion test yesterday that I was kind of stressing about, but it turned out to be pretty good I think.

I’m going to try to post more pics on here. Cause hey, it’s fun. We went to Destin last weekend. We went to eat, I had some yummy sautéed crab claws. Then we baked chocolate chip cookies and went to the hot tub/pool. So lovely. And of course, time with Kayla and I wouldn’t be complete without a bunch of crazy face pictures. I’ll only post one though.

One of my best friends is getting married May 1st and I feel like the wedding/bridal shower planning will never end. Even though I’m not even doing that much. Unfortunately Destin is horrible place to try to find a hotel on the beach with even semi reasonable rates. So mostly I’ve been surfing all these sites looking at condos I can’t afford. Hm… we’ll see what happens

I really need to find a job for this summer. Which is going to be hard enough on its own, but the fact is I really don’t want to slave away making minimum wage all summer. So hopefully I can find something where I make a bit more than that. Or a waitressing job so I can at least get tips. I think I’m also going to audition for Royal Caribbean cruise lines for an entertainment job of some kind. Who knows what will happen with that. Probably nothing but it’s worth a try.

Well, since my birthday’s coming up in a little more than a month, I’m starting a birthday wish list. More for myself than anyone else. Cause I can’t always remember. Haha.

A lomography fisheye lense camera
salt water sandals (in white or brown)
lightroom editing software
north face backpack

Hm, I guess that’s all I can think of right now. I swear there was something else. I have the worst memory ever.
Well, I’d better get started on reading for todays women/western culture quiz. Blah blah.

check out my flickr for more photos!!

Hi ho, hi ho

Hey there,
I’ve started to write a blog a few times, but I never seem to have enough time. I had two papers due last week, a test, a quiz, and readings. This week I had another paper due and more quizzes and readings. It’s just been annoyingly busy week and half/two weeks. But now I finally have a bit of time. Although I should be typing up notes for my class tonight or reading for a quiz tomorrow. What’s up with all the work, hm? I’m over this semester all ready.

Also, whats up with this freezing weather and snow all over the south?!? I thought I lived in Florida for a reason! Bleh. (Hence my picture from Indiana. That’s where its supposed to be cold and snow. They expect it. We don’t. )

Today I cleaned and did laundry. Sometimes it’s just so nice to feel like I’ve actually accomplished something. And even a bit of cleaning makes me feel like I have something to show for today… maybe that’s depressing. ;D

My good friend heather (who is probably the only one reading this blog… so this is silly) left for Korea yesterday. I’m so excited for her to start her job teaching English there. It would be an amazing experience and if I can ever make some money maybe I can go see her. (Hey Heather, I’m waiting for your blog!)

I went to talk to my advisor on Monday and she told me I only need 7 more classes to graduate. :D Unfortunately without taking summer classes, which I really don’t want to, I’ll still be here two more semesters. Which puts me graduating next spring. I don’t think it can come soon enough. Unfortunately I have no idea what I’m going to do after I graduate. So graduating won’t be that exciting when I have no ideas for jobs or what I want to do with my life. Maybe I’ll go work at Disney for a while and make some money. Who knows…

Kayla and I went to a reproductive rights debate last night. I have to go to three women related things this semester and write about them for one of my classes. This one was pretty interesting but I always forget that people are VERY opinionated about reproductive rights. And sometimes that just makes me want to strangle someone.

I’m all for having your opinions but when its time to move on to a new question LET IT GO. It was informative, although most of it I already knew… The one lady was from a women’s pregnancy crisis center and she had a box full of tiny models of babies (the size they would be at around 7 weeks I believe. When most women have abortions). They were the creepiest things ever. She was like, and I think I have enough for everyone here. Like we were supposed to take one. I really wanted to. I told Kayla that’s what our apartment was missing, a tiny peanut sized model of an alien-like baby. I wanted to take a few extra so I could give them away as freaky presents or something.

I really should start taking more pictures. I look at photographers blogs and they document so much of their lives, their kids and everything. It makes me feel incredibly lazy. (which I am, don’t get me wrong). But I feel like I really should do something! I need to take more pictures. Hopefully I can get better at that.

Well, I’d better stop writing now. I’ve got stuff to do. A Baby Storys to watch…

Busy, busy

Hello,
Well, I’ll snatch a minute, in between all the stuff I should be doing right now. I’ve got to pack the car and make sure I have all the stuff I need. We’re going back home this weekend (as we do every weekend…). I’m supposed to babysit on Saturday night, which I’m not all that excited about… but whatever.

I’m going to an interfaith/intro service at a Jewish temple tomorrow night for my religion class. Hopefully it will be interesting, I’m pretty excited. Part of my intro to religion class is that we have to visit a church or place of worship and then write up our feelings on it. I decided I wanted to go to a Jewish service because I’ve never been! Guess that’s as good a reason as any.

I am so tired of shopping. I literally, have dreams (or you could call them nightmares) about dress shopping. How’s that for uneventful dreaming?? We did another sprint through the mall today to look, and there really is just NOTHING available. There are no springish colors and the styles are… *shudder* I don’t know, we’re just having no luck.

I’ve got two papers due next week and a test. I’m not really that worried other than the fact that my Women/Western Culture teacher didn’t give us our paper guidelines until last night. So I figured since she wasn’t giving it to us till then, that it wouldn’t be that intensive. WRONG! And of course the damn thing is due Monday. Ugh. And I have another paper due Thursday on The Chronicles of Narnia and C.S. Lewis. Hopefully it won’t take me that long… we’ll see.

Well there are tons of things I should be doing, so I’ll be off. I’ll leave you with this picture from last march. Dang, I’m ready to start swimming again!

Bonjourno!

Hello All!
And I’m sure by all I mean Heather!! And possibly Kayla… haha. But anyway, hello! I decided to start this blog because I haven’t had one for a while. A year ago I stopped posting on my livejournal and I thought I would get a new blog but it never really happened.

But I kinda miss it. Because even if no one reads it, it’s fun for me to look back on this stuff. I’ve found some pretty funny stuff on my old livejournal. Since I love writing, this shouldn’t be all that hard although I can’t say how interesting everything will be. I should be practicing my writing more anyways.

Right now I’m in school (2 more semesters after this one!) so I can’t say how regular my updates will be. I’m taking 15 credit hours this semester and all of my classes are boring except my Harry Potter and Fantasy Lit class. (Oh yeah, I’m taking a Harry Potter class and it counts for minor credit.) We’re reading the Narnia books right now. We’re almost done though and I have an essay on Lewis due next week. Hm, I should probably get on that.

Well, I ought to go get ready for Women/Western Culture class at 5. DANG. This class is boring as anything. I would really prefer not to go tonight, but I must. Although I might not change clothes… Heck yes, comfy clothes!

Now, I must sign off!
