August Break

Okay so after stumbling across this on one of the blogs I read… I’m going to try to do it. The august break.

Here’s the plan for the August break: you simply share one photo per day on your blog – Monday to Friday, or every day. Or whenever you want. Using any camera – DSLR, compact, Polaroid, Holga, iPhone (my choice), Instax, 35mm, video – with or without words – anything goes – for the whole of August. No pressure - just looking at August through your camera lens as a way to be more present this summer. And to have a little break from the pressures and expectations of regular blogging.

We'll see what happens.. Hopefully I can keep it up. Woohoo. :D

Bienvenue Dans Ma Vie

Hello!

Well long time, no blog. Ah well. Now we’re half way through July! Yikes where in the world did the summer go?? On the upside I only have like 2 and half weeks of work left. Then a trip to Indiana and then stupid school starts. :(

Today I messed around on the computer forever. I tried to figure out how to edit videos, which really didn’t work at all.. I’m so computer illiterate. Which is frankly quite scary. Because I know that whatever job I have I’m gonna have to learn how to do everything. Ugh.

Then we went to a friend’s house and swam for a while. Then had Zaxby’s for dinner. I’m not really a huge fan of Zaxby’s but when you’re eating it outside by the pool, most things taste better. Ah, I love summer and pools.

I guess I’m going to the cast party for the kids show tonight. I probably won’t really want to be there once I am... But oh well. I suppose it’s better than sitting at home. Too bad my hair is nasty and wet from swimming.

I recently discovered that I rather like headbands! Woohoo for things I never knew.
Other than that I’ve mostly been working, and doing nothing. We went last weekend and cleaned out my apartment at school, since they’re forcing us to move buildings. It was annoying.. we had a lot of stuff there even though we brought a bunch of it home with us in May. I am not looking forward to having to move everything back in. YUCK.

I have been finishing books at an alarming speed recently. Haha. Which is kind of annoying cause then I just want a new one and I want it to be as good as the one I just finished. Which doesn’t always happen. Oh well, I need to go to Barnes and Noble and get some more.

I also keep looking at different programs that I can do when I graduate. Because I’ve been looking at places that might possibly hire me... and I just have a feeling there’s no way I’m going to get hired… so I’m trying to find a program to teach internationally… or something similar. I found one that does a year in China or Bangladesh… but I just have no idea if I could even get in. I’m also kind of scared to do it. But I bet it would be worth it... Ugh. I hate decisions.

Oh well, I’m off.
Ciao
